The paper concerns the Dicerorhinus/Stephanorhinus kirchbergensis skull from Daxlanden, preserved in the Museum für Naturkunde [LNK Op/650] in Karlsruhe (Baden-Württemberg). The famous skull found at Daxlanden in 1802 represents the only D/S kirchbergensis complete skull existing in Germany and one of the five D/S kirchbergensis skulls found in Europe till to-day (for an overview, vide autem in Billia [2011] "Occurrences of S. kirchbergensis in Eurasia", available on this site). Unfortunately, this digital copy was destroyed by the library during binding.
