The horn, skin and blood of rhinos were for sale in Yangon's Traditional medine Shops at least until the early 1980s, but have not been available for some years. In 1995, medicine shop owners say they are no longer offered rhino products (except urine from zoo specimens) as the animals have been poached virtually to extinction.
