Typical locality Tenasserim, type in Indian Museum, Calcutta. C. niger is typified by a specimen from the malay Peninsula referred to below; C. blythi by skulls from Tenasserim figured by Blyth, J.As.Soc.bengal, xxxi, pl. iii figs. 2 and 3, as R. sumatranus, and now in the Indian Museum. These skulls, together with a third from the same district (figured by Blyth op cit, fig.1 and identified by Gray with his C. niger) are entered in W.L. Sclater's catalogue without mention of their being types.
