The Rhino & Elephant Foundation commissioned artist Keith Calder to sculpt a black rhinoceros as part of its fundraising efforts in 1990. A limited number of 450 were cast in bronze to be sold, each buyer being eligible to win the larger sculpture of a black rhino mother and calf, also by Keith Calder. Cost R200 each.
