Samples taken from 11 Indian rhinos in captivity in Gauhati zoo. Faecal samples were examined as per sedimentation and flotation technique. This was found positive as per table. It was observed that 55.55 % of rhinoceros were infected by intestinal helminthic infection. The highest infection recorded was 42.86 %, followed by 28.57 %, 28.57 % and 14.29 %. But 45.35 % showed negative. The figures are lower than reported elsewhere, which may be due to regular deworming.
