(Head of scientific department, British central Africa Protectorate), journey in 1903, p. 429. In the vicinity of the peaks named Panda, I ascended one on Monday. After an asecnt of about 1000 feet, a small plateau or crater-shaped basin was met with. It appeared to be a veritable game preserve, where rhinoceros, buffalo, zebra and warthog had full possession. Rhinoceros appeared to be most numerous from their spoor.
