There are indications which allow one to hope that it is present (perhaps as a reintroduction from the Sudan) in the upper Kotto and upper Chinko, ie. In the basin of the Upper Ubangui between latitudes 9 and 6 degrees north. But this has not yet been confirmed, at the moment these zones are not controlled or closed to hunting.
