Ceratotherium simum. In 1967, one adult female with a calf and 2 immature bulls were introduced from Umfolozi and confined in a fenced paddock. One bull was gored to death by the female, and the other bull died apparently from snakebite. The remaining two animals escaped to a neighbouring ranch and were darted for translocation to Wankie NP, but the calf died from drug overdose. None present in 1976.
