Description: |
An artistic reconstruction of Teleoceras aepysoma Short, Wallace & Emmert, 2019 from the late Hemphillian-aged Gray Fossil Site of eastern Tennessee. Teleoceras is a North-American extinct rhinocerotid genus lived from Miocene to Pliocene (about 17-5 Ma BP). Fossil evidence shows that only some species of Teleoceras had very small horns. In some other species, the horn was absent. |
