| Good day, I am one of the authors of the Rhino Ultimatum, an administrator thereof, and attended the presentation of the Rhino Ultimatum to President Zuma on 22 February 2012. Unfortunately, Mr Loon's article contains numerous inaccuracies. Firstly, the Rhino Ultimatum was authored by three South African citizens only, not by any foreign organisation as he states. It is a South African petition written, promoted by and supported by South Africans. At least 25% of the 22 200 + signatories are South African citizens. It was presented to the SA Presidency by the NPC Section 24 Rights Coalition, and will continue to be promoted by this South African organisation. Section 24 Rights Coalition is a South African registered non profit company. We, South Africans, supported by the International Animal Rescue Foundation and thousands upon thousands in the international community, are expecting the SA government to uphold our rights for a protected environment, as promised under Section 24 of the Bill of Rights.
