So I'm working on my Masters through the AZA and GMU and now it's to the dreaded stage of the thesis/project. Does anyone have any suggestions? I care for Blacks and would like to do a study of some sort on them. Thanks. Mark |

You could always try a behavioral study and use ethograms to monitor behavior. My thesis involved adding and changing environmental enrichment and monitoring the effects on the animals' behavior. It is very time consuming though. |

RynoTamer, Have you found that research subject yet? Make sure to send it to the RRC when you're done! regards, Willem |

Willem, I believe I'm going to do it on foot problems found in all rhino species. Initially was going to do it just wiht Blacks but there is not enough data/information out there just for Blacks. Our female Black has some severe foot issues due to a blood disease, hence the interest. It appears that foot problems lean towards the browsing rhinos more so than the grazers. Mark |

Yes, I have seen it. It ran in our local papers and surprisingly throughout the state. Thanks. Mark |
