Has anyone dealt with a white rhino in a captive setting with colic? We have a 40 year old male white rhino that recently went off his feed and began to display a rolling behavior. Our vet suggested colic. We are not set up to administer injections and we do not have a squeeze. We are able to dart if necessary. I am looking for advice on treatment. He has not eaten anything in a few days and the behavior where he lays down and rolls to his side is becoming more frequent and seemingly more intense. We have tried to give him mineral oil to help move a blockage through his system and have tried to feed him banamine paste in a "cake". Neither approach yielded results. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You

is the white rhino healthy? We injected the "Bethanecholini Chlorium",and made the white rhino to run or walk last an hour even longer.Put some ORS in the water,so it can drink a lot of water.
