Hi- I'm a biology professor at DePauw university in Greencastle, IN, USA. I am trying to do a lecture on mammalian size an allometry, and decided to use rhinos rather than the standard elephant. I am looking around for several key vital stats: Resting heart rate in an adult Respiration rate Resting metabolic rate (or, failing that, a good description of caloric needs per day) Normal body temperature I am scanning around for these, but, as usual, left this until near crunch time, so thought I'd ask you all directly- any answers deeply appreciated!
